In 2023 Stirling Young Curlers has been running for 40 years. The club meets each Saturday morning, throughout the curling season, in the National Curling Academy, at The Peak, Stirling. There are two sessions, with Juniors starting at 0830 at Seniors at 1030. Juniors can start from the age of 8 years.
Stirling Young Curlers run various Competitions throughout the seasons, both within the club and against other clubs around Scotland.
We also encourage our keener, and more advance players to enter Scottish Curling’s slam events throughout the season for under 14’s, under 17’s and under 21’s.
In the past the club has produced several players who have gone on to represent Scotland. Including:
- Michael Goodfellow who was part of Dave Murdoch’s Olympic silver medal team and now coaches team Mouat’s world championship team.
- Lisa Davie, with Annabel Skuse from SYC won the Scottish Juniors and went to junior worlds.
Lisa also won silver at last seasons Mixed Worlds.
- Logan Gray was a successful junior curler and got to final of men’s Scottish championships and now does commentary on Eurosport.
